  Fantastic

  Michael Connelly is tops in his field of mystery writers. I've read several of the Harry Bosch novels and intend to read all his books over a period of time. His writing is above and beyond classic suspense.

  Not one of the best but still very enjoyable

  OK let me start by saying this is an enjoyable book and if you're a fan of both Michael Connelly and the Harry Bosch books you will like this. Having said that I will add that the story does run a bit long and as a result it is thin towards the end. I did enjoy the fact that there were several twists and turns you didn't see coming but the end of the novel does seem a bit labored and forced.
  
  This is enjoyable reading and while it's not Bosch's best work it is still a fun and interesting book. If you're a fan of the series you will not be sorry you read it!

  Harry Bosch 1 & 2

  I bought this and the other compiliation just to have on my Kindle. I've been a fan for years, and it's been many years since I read these first novels. I totally enjoyed going back & re-reading, as I'd forgot as much as I remembered.
  
  For those of you thinking about 'trying' the Harry Bosch novels, this is a great way to start. Harry can be a little intense, so you may not want to sit and read all six, right in a row, but these are a great way to learn about Harry's history while enjoying great, fast-paced who-dunnits.
  
  I can hardly wait for the new set to come out in November... it will be another great addition to my Kindle!

  Excellent as ever

  Having now read both volumes 1 and 2 of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch novels, I can say that the only disappointment I've found is that each story comes to an end. As is the case with all six novels, I found myself reluctant to put down the book and eager to resume reading. Excellent writing and wonderful story-telling. These novels should carry a warning because they are very addictive.

  Michael Connelly Bosch books

  The Harry Bosch Vol. 1 and 2 are such a great read and great deal. I started with one of Connelly's later novels and could not put it down. So I thought I would try to find all his earlier novels. The 2 book set which actually contains a total of the first 6 Bosch stories was just awesome to find and read. I highly recommend these sets to all Connelly fans and to anyone looking for a good pageturner crime/detective series. Truely captivating storytelling.

  Bosch Keeps Getting Better

  Reading them in order and the series improves with each book. Loved this book and not just the story lines. The development of all key characters is a skill at which Connelly excels. As noted, the story lines are great, but we really get to know Harry better and better and now we've seen his partners grow and expose more of who they are. You'll finish this one and want to dive right into the next in the series.

  Loved the series

  This is the first time I read the Harry Bosch books and I loved them. Harry is not your typical cop and tends to investigate in his own manner, always getting in trouble doing it. He is not a rogue cop but one who wants to get to the bottom of the crime. I like that you get a picture of him as a man as well and can understand why he does some of the things he does. He is a straight shooter and those that work with him respect him. He does have a temper as is evidenced by his hitting his supervisor, not that he didn't deserve it but he is definitely not a good two shoes.

  One of His Best

  One more example of what keeps me coming back for more and more books by Michael Connelly. Detective Harry Bosch is in excellent form and this book hooks you right from the opening minutes. Dick Hill is a wonderful narrator. He brings just enough excitement to the reading and really adds to the listening experience - where many other narrator's fall short. Highest recommendation!!
